MINNESOTA'S
BEST KEPT SECRET Lincoln
Lakes Area - the start of Lake Country on Hwy 10 North - between
Cushing and Motley. Enter the Lakes area via County Road 3, on
the west side of 4 fabulous lakes totaling 45.5 miles of shoreline
and 5692 surface acres of water. There's Fishtrap Lake with its
tranquil bays and island views; Lake Alexander, the crown jewel
of the four due to its size, fantastically clear water and superior
fishing; Lake Shamineau with its grand hillsides lined with old
growth white pine, maple and oak; and Little Crookneck for relaxing
boat rides and calm afternoon visits. The three larger lakes
rank in the top 15 for water clarity in Northern Minnesota. Weyerhaeuser
Lumber Company treasured the area because of giant White Pine.
The
Lincoln Lakes area is the place for a calming night visit or
a great weekend getaway. Year round, we are your ticket for
summer fun and a winter wonderland of activities.
